Noise source identification
We identify the main sources of product noise and/or vibration so that modifications can be developed to reduce them. To pinpoint the dominant sources we use a range of methods, including:

  • screening, shielding or isolation of components
  • dividing products into sub-assemblies
  • testing under different speed/load conditions
  • ducting of inlet and outlet paths
  • analysing the response to continuous or impact excitation using shakers or instrumented hammers

Product development facilities
Our facilities include:

  • a product development lab, which houses a wide range of noise and vibration equipment and analysers.
  • shaker units to excite structure, and load units to assess torque levels
  • experimental and computer modal analysis of structures
  • workshop and laboratory facilities for prototype development and modification
  • anechoic and reverberant acoustic test chambers for final testing of fully developed products
